Black Friday 3D Printer Deals 2021

Black Friday is nearly here again, and whether you love this imported festival of retail or loathe it, it’s a great chance to pick up a new 3D printer at a bargain price. If you’re new to 3D printing you can set yourself up with all the equipment you need; if you’re already an additive manufacturing veteran, you can upgrade from your existing setup or add an extra machine. Whatever you want to do, there are some amazing deals this year. Let’s have a look at some Black Friday 3D printer deals 2021.

Creality Creality CR-6 SE

Creality CR-6 SE

The CR-6 is a medium-size Prusa-style printer with a range of advanced features. It’s based on the popular Ender 3 V2 but, where the Ender is an unashamedly entry-level machine with a lot of upgrade potential, the CR-6 comes with a whole basket of upgrades already installed.

Features of the CR-6 SE include automatic bed levelling, dual Z-axis drive motors, a large, clear 4.2” touch screen, filament break sensor and a new, advanced modular hot end. There’s an upgraded intruder, a textured glass bed as standard and proper tensioners on the X and Y axes. It has a 235x235x250mm build volume.

The CR-6 usually sells for £349, but Box UK are offering it for £229 for Black Friday.

Flashforge Adventurer 3

Flashforge Adventurer 3

The Adventurer 3 is a fully enclosed printer, making it safe to operate with kids around. It’s user-friendly and ready to go right out of the box, making it ideal for beginners or as a family printer. Features include automatic bed levelling, a quick-change nozzle system and a removable, flexible build surface for easy removal of finished projects. A very nice touch is a built-in webcam that lets you remotely monitor the progress of your print jobs. The print volume is a relatively small 150x150x150mm, but quality is good and the enclosed design makes this a quiet machine.

Amazon have cut £70 off the Adventurer 3’s price for Black Friday, so now it could be yours for £279.

Creality Ender 3

Creality Ender 3

I’ve talked a lot about the Ender 3 over the last few months, so you all know how much I like it. It’s easy to assemble, prints well in its stock configuration, can be upgraded almost without limits, and is very competitively priced. It’s not a sophisticated machine and doesn’t have much in the way of advanced features – no automatic bed levelling here (although you can add it easily enough). On the other hand it’s a solid, reliable printer and a great way to learn the basics.

Did I mention that it was competitively priced? Well, it’s absolutely dirt cheap this week; Technology Outlet are selling it for just £121.19. If you want to spend a little more they also have the Ender 3 Pro – which comes with a heavier-duty frame and some other upgrades – for £141.59.

FLSUN Q5

FLSUN Q5

The Q5 is a delta-style printer, which suspends its print head from three arms that ride up and down on the three vertical frame members. It has a 200x200x200mm build volume and a good range of standard features, including a modern Titan extruder for improved feeding, auto levelling, a resume function to save your print if there’s a power cut, and an easy to use touch screen. Its circular print bed is removable and flexible, so you can get your prints out easily.

The Q5 usually sells for £229.99, but you can get one from Amazon’s Black Friday sale for £164.89.

Flashforge Creator Pro

Flashforge Creator Pro

Another fully enclosed design, the Creator Pro is a step up from the entry level. It’s built around a robust auto-levelling heated bed made from 6.5mm thick aerospace aluminium, which should be pretty much immune to warping. The heavy duty body has a cooling fan for good airflow.

The most interesting feature of the Creator Pro is its dual-extruder design, which lets you print in two colours. If that’s a feature you want Amazon are selling it for £399 this week, £100 down from the normal price.
